Driver Trapped After Car Hits Barn

A car crashed into a barn in Luzerne County on Saturday afternoon, leaving one person trapped in the vehicle. It happened in Ross Township where it took rescuers about 25 minutes to remove the victim, who was then taken to the hospital. No other details… There has been no update on the victim’s condition.

Hazleton Police are investigating a collision between a car and a train that happened Tuesday afternoon at Buttonwood and South Wyoming Streets. The driver was a pregnant woman who fortunately, wasn’t hurt when the train, traveling at about five miles per hour, collided with her car, dragging it a few feet.

A man who state police say choked and beat a woman he held captive at a house on Academy Street in Courtdale, was taken into custody after that woman called 911. 34 year old Joshua Geisinger of Larksville, is now being held without bail in the Luzerne County Correctional Facility.
