Death On The Casey Highway
A deadly crash on the Casey Highway early this morning in Lackawanna County. Police say it happened just after midnight in the eastbound lanes between the Jermyn/Mayfield and Meredith Street/Carbondale exits. The crash reportedly involved two vehicles, and state police say one person was killed.

Officials say anyone with a bite or other exposure to the animal should call the Wilkes-Barre City Health Department. Police in Wilkes-Barre arrested a man after another man was stabbed in the area of Academy Street and Edison Street. Razhem Smith was said to have been shirtless, trying to stab people there when police arrived. Witnesses say Smith had been drinking and doing drugs. He’s now in the Luzerne County Prison.
