State Police arrested a Wilkes Barre man after they found cocaine in his vehicle during a traffic stop. 22-year-old Carlos Morales-Vargas also had packaging materials, and about $13,500 in cash in his car when he was pulled over in Susquehanna County. He’s now behind bars, with bail set at $250,000.

Wilkes Barre Township Police are on the hunt for a man who was caught on video surveillance cutting a fence and breaking into Lowe’s, then making off with more than $2,300 worth of items, including eight Frigidaire microwaves. Police say he loaded all the microwaves into a silver van and then took off.

Plymouth Man Jailed After Bizarre Attacks

In Luzerne County, a man was arrested after police in Plymouth say he strangled his mother and then spit on officers. 43 year old Frank Shoppel also hit one officer in the face and shoulder as he was being taken into custody. He’s now in the Luzerne County Correctional Facility on a $10,000 bail.
