driver trapped after car hits barn

A car crashed into a barn in Luzerne County on Saturday afternoon, leaving one person trapped in the vehicle. It happened in Ross Township where it took rescuers about 25 minutes to remove the victim, who was then taken to the hospital. No other details… There has been no update on the victim’s condition.

hacker nets cash from puppy scam

In Lackawanna County, two people were scammed out of about $400 by someone who hacked their way into the Sheriff’s Facebook Page. Investigators say the $400 was in exchange for a puppy on Facebook. State police say the two sent the money but it is unknown where the hacker might be.

3 arrested after robbery in Taylor

3 people were taken into custody Saturday afternoon, after police say they tried to rob a UPS Customer Center at the Stauffer Industrial Center in Taylor and crashed their car trying to get away. The suspects were unarmed and nobody was hurt. The whole thing remains under investigation.
