Lackawanna County resident, 17-year-old Alyssa Cahoon is dead after her heart stopped beating during a training exercise with the Army National Guard in Fort Jackson, South Carolina. Cahoon would have been a starting senior on the Varsity Volleyball team at Forest City Regional High School this year.
