Long Dormant Carbondale Hotel Being Razed

The demolition of a 100-year-old hotel in Carbondale is now underway, taking with it a piece of the city’s history. The former Hotel Chellino is coming down so that a closed bridge can be replaced. The hotel was built back in 1913. It’s been vacant for years, and it is now coming down piece by piece as part of the 6th Avenue Bridge Project.
