A Scranton man has died after being hit by a train. The Lackawanna County Coroner says 52 year old Walter Sherman was standing on the tracks just after midnight Sunday near the 300 block of Meridian Avenue when the train hit him. Sherman was taken to the Geisinger Community Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead two days later.
